Project Office Manager
Job Title: Project Office Manager (Software Development environment).
Based: Commutable from Cardiff, Caerphilly, Newport, Cwmbran or Swansea.
Salary: c.£25-30,000 per annum, negotiable.
Start Date: November/December 2009.
We are currently working alongside an established customer who have recently experienced further strong growth and success to assist them in finding a suitable individual for the position of Project Office Manager with their organisation. Within this role, you will be responsible for the day to day management of the customer's Technical/Development team delivering to performance targets through the team.
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will hold responsibility for the following tasks/responsibilities:
*manage all projects and ensuring delivery of such projects (including production of documentation and assurance of quality testing).
*responsible for the implementation and accreditation of ISO9001.
*responsible for the delivery of on-site training to clients (must be willing to spend time at client sites throughout England & Wales).
*responsible for specification of client functional requirements including RFC and initial project scope requirements.
*responsible for the management of the RFC and Bug processes.
*responsible for management of the Support Desk procedures.
*responsible for the management and reporting of performance and delivery statistics.
*responsible for the day to day management of the technical teams and its projects
It is anticipated that the successful candidate for this role will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
*broad experience of Project Management, with particular emphasis on planning and prioritising workloads.
*experience of working to strict deadlines and signing off projects against strict quality criteria.
*have the ability to manage, motivate, monitor and develop a team in line with internal policies.
*have the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
*ability to establish excellent working relationships with both internal and external contacts.
*must have experience of working in IT/Service Delivery environments.
It would be desirable for a candidate to have knowledge/experience of:
* knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and have ability to create, implement and drive forward efforts to gain accreditation.
* previous experience of producing and delivering training to customers would be beneficial.
* prior experience of Health & Safety in the workplace would be advantageous.
* experience of coaching, monitoring and reviewing people to improve performance would be great.
