Part Time Communications Specialist
My Cardiff based client urgently require a Communications Specialist to start as soon as possible.
The Communications Specialist is required for 3 days per week to start as soon as possible and to work until Christmas and possibly to extend for a few months beyond.
The Communications Specialist is to assist in the creation and implementation of a Communication Plan for the changes in the Cost Containment Programme and to manage the stakeholders. The Communications Specialist needs to be able to create the Communications Plan and then pull together the necessary details in whatever format for onward communications and so it is very much a 'hands on doing role'. Must have an ability to tailor information to suit the audience, which will range from top level board members and senior executives to staff in 'at risk' roles and union representatives in the UK and Europe. The successful Communications Specialist will work closely with the Project Managers working on the various Cost Containment measures and will not be expected to create the information required, but to gather the information from the project teams and then disseminate to the various stakeholders.
The Communications Specialist need to be fairly senior and have employee engagement/crisis management skills as this is dealing with redundancy scenarios. There may also be some international travel within Europe
Already identified deliverables required from this role - more will arise as the project progresses:
Communications Plan, to include Management Briefings, Staff Briefings, Business Briefings, Local Workers Council Briefings. Business Engagement Plan, Stakeholder Management planning, Input to Project Managers Highlight Reports.
