At SA Brain, we have a number fo high profile venues across Cardiff and Cardiff Bay and We are looking for a Passionate and Creative Chefs at all levels to add to this strong team.

We serve high quality food using fresh ingredients and local produce. We operate high food volume, traditional food with a twist offer to meet all of our customer’s needs. Through the diverse range of menus we have this means we accommodate all skill levels and experience for our Chefs and have a range of opportunities to suit.
You will have the Ability and flexibility to work full time hours
Duties & responsibilities
Stock Control
Carrying out weekly food stock takes and managing the ordering, delivery & return of dry stocks, ensuring that the food GP is achieved. Adequate stock levels are held and stock is properly rotated and that wastage is minimised.
Personnel
Liasing between kitchen staff and management, dealing with any staff issues, recruiting and training of staff where necessary. Liasing between Kitchen and Front of house staff to communicate product availability and daily changes including specials. Ensuring that cover is planned for holidays and the kitchen is staffed appropriately for peak trading sessions.
Administration
Ensuring that all records are updated and maintained for inspection, with particular reference to the Food Safety Policy and records.
Hygiene Standards
Implementing hygiene standards and ensuring that all standards are maintained. Achieving the company required standards in kitchen audits and inspections, actioning any issues that need to be addressed and informing the manager.
Policies and Procedures
Ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Day to Day Running
Ensuring that the food operation runs smoothly on a day to day basis both front and back of house and that customer expectations are met & where possible exceeded.
