Waste Water Senior Project Manager
The Company:
The Company is involved in the design, construction, ownership, operation and maintenance of utility networks and associated site infrastructure, serving new developments throughout the UK mainland. It provides highly competitive proposals with each project being individually designed to achieve a least cost solution that meets clients needs.
The company is creating over a thousand new properties a week, with contracts for over half a million already in place, working with all housebuilders large and small and are the market leaders in response time, strategy, project management and price.
The Role:
Supports the Regional Operations Manager with the organisation and management of engineering construction projects, working closely with the Regional Development Manager, Senior Project Engineers and Site Co-ordinators. Develops, operates and maintains management systems to provide effective financial control of project related expenditure. Provides technical expertise concerning utility infrastructures under construction, commissioning and subsequent maintenance including routine and emergency work.
Key Responsibilities:
·To operate and manage waste water networks operated on developments within England and Wales.
·Participates in the preparation of the Operations Department budget, by the analysis of previous performance data, production of statistical and financial out-turns and the study of marketing forecasts and calculates resource requirements.
·Identifies problems and develops company procedures and processes to facilitate improved efficiency. Assists with the training, development and provision of technical advice to Construction's field staff.
·Provides asset owners with costs and plans for mains repairs and diversions and arranges for the work to be carried out on site.
·Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained by regular contact with developers and Key Account Managers. Resolves customer complaints
The Person:
The right candidate must be educated to degree or equivalent level in an engineering related discipline, have extensive experience in the operation of wastewater networks, have an operational background with appropriate experience and knowledge gained by working for a water distribution company or infrastructure provider. Must have extensive knowledge of the development and construction of new networks in the new build market and a keen awareness of associated commercial issues.
Professional membership of industry related body would be an advantage.
