Volunteers Wanted for Community Project in Africa (Uganda)
A community project in a safe, rural, but easily accessible village SW Uganda urgently needs volunteers to stay with them for two weeks or longer to work on existing projects and help organise new initiatives that will benefit both the local schools and the community in general.
No formal qualifications required for this position but you must have leadership skills and a happy friendly personality. Previous travel in a developing country would be helpful, as would any medical knowledge, IT or general DIY skills.
Other useful interests might be sports and arts & crafts but speaking basic English is the only pre-requisite for applying.
From our website at www.ugandalodge.com you will get a better idea of what we are doing to help in this very rural community, and what your job might involve. If you wish to discuss this further please call Ann on 01932 566477
Please note this is NOT a salaried position and you will need to pay your own transportation costs plus £70 per week for all your food and comfortable self-contained accommodation.
This project at Uganda Lodge is being run by a small registered UK charity "Let them help themselves out of Poverty" 1127387
