Cardiff Petrol Protest

Date posted: Saturday 28th June
Location: cardiff

The continued rise of petrol prices is affecting us all. If you are a normal person going about your normal business… taking the kids to school, getting to work, visiting family or friends… then the effect is noticeable. But the increase is now affecting our schools, emergency services, hospitals and services.

It is noted that recent tax increases have been waved due to an increase in the cost of oil. However,

The increase of crude oil – now at nearly $140 per barrel – is beginning to affect us in more ways than our cars. However, we can use our cars to support those that need a voice.

It has been reported recently that our ambulance services, schools, care homes and hospitals are all feeling the bite of the ever increasing cost of fuel. Many of the people affected by this do not have as visual and immediate form of protest as we do with our cars.

The information on fuel increases is available to all so we will not go in to great detail here.

We are calling for all drivers, commercial and private, to help express the countries plea for the government to recognise the problems we are facing and to reduce the taxation on fuel during this time of increased crude oil prices.

Following a suitable number of agreements to protest we will inform all interested parties of the date and location of the protest. At this stage the relevant authorities will be informed so as not to affect emergency or essential services.
