A MLD school in Cardiff is now looking for an experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support and develop the SEN provision.  Pupils have a wide range of learning difficulties; including pupils on the autistic spectrum, complex needs and language difficulties.

Essential Skills:

- Must have experience with a range of special needs including: Autism, Behaviour, complex needs, severe learning difficulties,  physical difficulties

- Experience of supporting learning and differentiate your approach to reach all learners

- Provide pastoral support to pupils

- Proven track record in establishing effective relationships with children with attachment needs

- Experience working on one to one basis to help overcome barriers to learning

- Knowledge of PECS, Makaton/ Sign a long , TTEACH

- Experience and/ or training in moving and handling

- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

- Specialist in SEN

- Special Needs background
