Job Role
Overall responsibility for the restaurant in the absence of the general manager
To assist the general manager in the day to day running of the restaurant
Responsible for coaching and developing junior managers
Ensure effective communication with the front of house team
To take an active role in training ensuring all staff receive the required training in compliance with all statutory and company procedures
To constantly seek to improve the way the restaurant is run in both day to day and long term
To manage the needs of the business whilst keeping within the budgetary constraints of the business
To maintain throughout the restaurant company standards of food quality, hygiene, customer service and health and safety
To actively promote the restaurant in the local area through marketing
To take an active role in the way boh is run and the quality standards it is achieving
Adopt a sense of greater responsible and seek to rectify areas that require improvement

Over the age of 18
Ability to manage a large team to deliver great results
Superior customer service skills
An understanding of health and safety and food hygiene processes and law
Minimum 2 years experience at a supervisory level
Minimum 3 years within a catering environment
Basic knowledge of computer skills
An knowledge of the weekly accounts and wages
An understanding of trial balances and profit and loss accounts and how to increase profitability
Knowledge of the remanco system in both the front (restaurant) and back (office)
Planning and organisational skills
