Placed at the outskirts of Bombay, in Western India, is the settlement of an ancient tribe known as the Warlis. Despite being in such close proximity of the largest metropolis in India, Warli tribesmen turn away from all influences of modern urbanization. These tribal people, who survive on forest produce and worship nature, have carved an international niche for themselves by virtue of their artistry. The name of the race has given the name to the art form and today we know it as the Warli paintings.

Artist and scholars believe its roots may be traced to as early as Tenth century A.D. before catching the attention of urban world in 1970s. As painting figures and diagrams was the only way for these non-lettered people to transmit their hereditary knowledge, traditions and good wishes. Each painting is usually an entire scene describing the day to day activities of the Warlis. Their extremely rudimentary wall paintings use a very basic graphic vocabulary: a circle, a triangle and a square and follows a rhythmic pattern across the entire sheet results in a light swinging and swirling movement.

this particular painting is done by an authentic warli tribal artist. it shows a "Tapra Dance" . Trapra ,a trumpet like instrument is played and the and a tribal dance is performed in circles around the performer. this symbolizes the harvest festival
the painting is 1.5 feet by 1.5 feet on canvas stretched on a wooden frame.
it can be posted personally delivered whatever is feasible
