The Casinos on board Cruise Ships are always closed when in port which leaves the staff with plenty of free time. Hours of operation vary depending on the passengers and geographical location of the cruise ship, i.e. Caribbean cruises are always busy while European cruises usually close the casino earlier due to the more mature and senior type of passenger.

Cruise Ship Casino Manager
Oversees entire operations of Casino, accounting, all Casino-related revenue activities and staff supervision. Must have three years - five years Casino management experience.
Salary: $3,000 - $3,800 US per month -(Approx: £1500 - £1900) per month depending on commission.

Cruise Ship Assistant Casino Manager
Oversees operations of the Casino as directed by the Casino Manager, accounting procedures, supervises staff conduct during hours of operations. Reports directly to the Casino Manager.
Salary: $2,500 - $3,100 US per month (Approx: £1,250 - £1,500) per month depending on commission.

Cruise Ship Casino Dealer/Croupier
Conducts gambling activities as directed by the Casino Manager. Must have one to two years casino experience or graduate of a Casino school.

Salary: $1,900 - $2,600 US per month (Approx: £950 - £1,400) per month.

Specification of the job: Minimum skills required – Ability to perform arithmetic operations quickly involving monetary units and calculating odds and percentages. Ability to speak clearly and distinctly with customers. A courteous, professional manner is necessary in customer relations. Must have exceptional hand and finger dexterity in order to deal rapidly and accurately. Must be able to rapidly discern the numbers on dice, cards and wheel.

Cruise Ship Slot Technician
Responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all Casino equipment and slot machines.
Salary: $2,500 - $2,900 US per month. (Approx: £1,250 - £1, 450) per month.

Cruise Ship Cashier
Responsible for the accounting of revenue as directed by the Casino Manager. Reports directly to the Casino Manager.
Salary: $1,700 - $2,200 US per month. (Approx: £850 - £1,100) per month.

THE ABOVE SALARIES ARE AVERAGE SALARIES. IN ADDITION YOUR FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION IS INCLUDED AND YOUR SALARY IS NORMALLY TAX FREE IF YOUR CONTRACT IS FOR SIX MONTHS AND OVER. THESE CONTRACTS ARE RENEWABLE.
