Technical Project Manager
Good Afternoon,
My Cardiff Based Client are urgently looking for a Technical Project Manager to help with an ongoing project, Rates are £375-425 per day Telephone interview Thursday, Face to Face Friday, start Monday the 28th! Please do not apply unless you are available for these dates.
Skills required are experience of procurement, Managing Budgets and working to very tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Designing and applying an appropriate project management framework for the technical project
Planning and monitoring the technical project, managing the production of the required deliverables
Manage technical project risks, including the development of contingency plans
Liaison with project management and related technical projects to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated
Overall technical progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary
Change control of technical deliverables and any required configuration management
Reporting through agreed reporting lines on technical project progress through Highlight Reports and stage assessments
Adopting technical and quality strategy, ensuring fit with wider company standards
Obtain any support and advice required for the management, planning and control of the technical project
Preparing any follow-on action recommendations as required
Scope during pre-contract phase:
Validating the Technology input to the final Finance Case which is due at the end of October 2009.
Responsible for defining/redefining the:
technical infrastructure
procurement approach
implementation plan and budget
the Technology project team structure
Identify the assumptions in the above and will create the approval forum to ratify the assumptions made.
Review Technology lessons learnt/lessons from similar property projects within the Organisation
Handover to a permanent Technical Project Manager who will manage the implementation phase of the project.
