Senior Development Technologist
Senior Development Technologist, Newport, up to £35,000
As Senior Development Technologist you will be leading a team of development technologists from concept to factory launch for a food company. You will also provide additional support to the Development Manager & Development Chefs.
You will project manage product development from concept validation to launch & first few weeks production through day to day management of development technologists. You will also maintain project tracker and ensure all development projects are delivered on time, inline with customer requirements & with full technical compliance. You will support the development Manager & Development chef’s to ensure smooth transition from concept development to factory development.
You will also be a key driver of the nutritional theoretical analysis for all concepts, including GDA and traffic light analysis. Create 1st stage recipe formulations to incl. basic ingredient declarations & quid analysis for all concepts. Support chef’s in verifying relevant characteristics - reheats, freezability, recipes / yields, shelf life, quality standards. Support new raw material form completion to ensure technical as well as culinary accuracy.
As the ideal applicant you will have a degree or equivalent in a food related discipline and have experience of working in a similar role. Any experience of chilled manufacturing environment, NPD Process or previous team leader / supervisory experience is an advantage.
