We believe first impressions count. And that’s why our Service Advisors play such an important part in things at Lloyds TSB. They’re the ones who act as the first point of contact for customers and from the minute our advisors answer a call, they start promoting a positive image of our organisation.

Being pleasant, courteous and polite is part of it, but it’s not enough. For us, it’s about delivering the kind of customer service that really gets to the heart of what the customer needs and then finding the best way to meet those needs. You’ll need to show that you’re willing to go above and beyond for customers and have a genuine interest in each and every one.

Previous customer service experience will be essential and great people skills will clearly be important. You’ll not only communicate effectively with customers, you’ll need to work well with your colleagues too. This means sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and motivating each other. You’ll need to be organised and analytical, so that all the data you enter and deal with is correct, and proactive, so that you keep your knowledge of our products and services up to date.
