A summer hunt for fat old trees is perfect for the credit crunch DIY local family activity.

The Woodland Trust’s Ancient Tree Hunt needs families this summer all across the UK to record a fat, old tree on to its database. As a thank you for supporting the campaign to recognise these national treasures, people can claim any one of thousands of free goodies being given away in August.
