Based in South Wales my client is looking to recruit a Business Intelligence Manager who will implement, maintain and support data warehouse facilities. This includes ownership of the maintenance of the data warehouse and Cognos products and ensuring these remain in line with corporate strategies.

Duties will include:
-Produce functional specifications
-Give input to system test plans where appropriate
-Build the data warehouse frameworks and the data extraction and transformation to specification
-Prepare test data and execute unit tests
-Build Cognos reports to specification
-Deliver to User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
-Lead and motivate the Business Intelligence team
-Identify and manage team resource requirements
-Manage the performance of the team to ensure delivery
-In line with company policy and procedures conduct disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence review meeting etc when required
-To coach, develop and train each member of the team to fulfil their roles and to establish career plans and advise the actions required to realise those plans

Your experience will include:

-Cognos 8 Framework Manager

-Database Design

-SQL server DTS/SSIS, SQL and Syntax

-Cognos 8 studios

-Demonstrable experience of managing teams, leading, motivating and coaching teams to deliver projects
-Experience of managing the performance of team, developing the team and setting career plans
-Promotes a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities that will benefit TLS
-Understands business drivers
-Well developed communication skills
