Hays Education are currently recruiting for cover supervisors Jobs in Cardiff. These cover supervisor jobs are to start immediately and to work throughout secondary schools in the Cardiff area covering absent staff.

If you have experience of working as a cover supervisor in or have a suitable qualification such as working in TEFL in Cardiff and are struggling to find work, then we would be interested in hearing from you.

Main Duties will include;

- Supervising whole classes and groups

- Supervising and delivering pre set work programmes

- Managing pupil behaviour

- Responding to pupils questions

- Assisting pupils to undertake set activities as appropriate and keep on task

- Reporting back as appropriate

- Dealing with immediate problems

- Will have 40 days experience of dealing with groups, which can be referenced

- Will have a proven behaviour/classroom management experience and skills

- Will have experience of working with 11-16 year olds

- Will be confident to stand in front of a classroom and deliver pre set work

- Have a good understanding of the National Curriculum and the ability to think on your feet

- Excellent and competitive rates of pay

- The potential to gain long-term or permanent work

- Skills development programme and experience of working in different schools

- Training course on how to become an effective cover supervisor

It would be an advantage to have an area of specialism in a core or non-core curriculum subject and excellent IT skills.
