New! I have a brand new role for a MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join my client, a fantastic and highly successful based in Cardiff.
With a number of products running off an extremely large database (containing millions of rows) the role will involve:

- Ensuring the data quality is constantly kept up to scratch whilst continuously updating their database with data file updates
- Providing query optimisation for developers
- Monitoring and improving query performance
- Monitoring system load and designing and running processes to create new datasets.
- As well as this you will also be ensuring that database replication runs smoothly whilst providing processes for error checking and data correction.

It is essential that you have experience of working with MySQL databases as well as experience of MySQL replication, cluster and memcache. Any experience with DBRD would also be desirable but is certainly not essential.

A salary of up to £35,000 plus healthcare and pension await the successful candidate.
