Our North Wales Local Government client requires a Procurement Manager for at least a four month basis.

Within this role you will be responsible for -

- Strategic/Planning - Contribute towards the planning, managing, motivating, reviewing and authorising of the unit's work and staff resources
- Operational - Direct, monitor and review the operational tender process at all levels for corporate goods and services
- Staff - The post holder manages a section of 5 operational staff
- Advice and guidance - on all aspects of procurement to all officer levels
- E-Procurement / Infonet – Develop PASS system for Compliance, Procurement & Commercial

You must have experience in the below areas for this position -

- Public Sector Procurement experience
- Generating commercial / savings opportunities
- Generating Innovative ideas/solutions to improve current processes
- Writing strategic and operational plans and reports (inc MI)
- Chairing meetings inc cross Directorate and Collaborative Groups.
- Conducting presentations and delivering training sessions
- Knowledge and experience of the EU Procurement Directive
