I am an American looking for pen pals in Wales. I would love to get to know a few people so I will have some friends when I get back to the UK and vicinity.

Looks like a few things need sorting out straight away by the responses I am getting to ads:
Romance? Not today, tomorrow, or the foreseeable future.
Dirty chat? Not interested at all, so don't ask because I won't
respond.
Nationalities I am interested in communications with:
Caucasian UK/British nationals, and Irish only, please ( i.e.,
English, Welsh, Manx, Scottish, Cornish).
Male? Female? Either is fine.
Age? within 25 years of my age preferably.
Am I who I appear to be? Absolutely, verifiable on the Net.
Am I a wealthy American? No, so do not ask for money, I
won't respond.
Am I a prisoner or a felon? No, thankfully.
Will I ask you for money? No.

Belief system: I am a Druid with Jedi leanings. I look for
the "ideal " in all religions and incorporate that into my own
belief systems, Earth religions, shamanism, Ancient Egyptian, American Indian, etc. But nothing out there appeals to me
as much as the precepts incorporated in the
philosophy of Druidism and the conceptualization
of Jedi ideals and training.
What do I really want? Pen Pals. Real ones. Nice ones, who

If you made it this far perhaps you are intrigued. Who am I then? Well, my father was a career soldier of Irish, Welsh, and Cherokee Indian descent. My wonderful mother is a survivor of Theresienstadt Concentration Camp of European descent. I am first generation American on her side, but raised very European by her. I am a happy, healthy woman in my 50's, but don't feel it or look it.

I was personal assistant to Dr. Donald Reed of the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Film, in the 70's. And am currently the creator and director of the singing group "The Sultry Ladies and Red Hot Mamas" (forties, jazz, blues, show tunes).

I am and artist, a poet, and as yet unpublished author. I recently finished a play adaptation of "The Provoked Wife" by Van Brugh, which I have set in Battersea at the turn of the century. It is a British drawing room high comedy ala Oscar Wilde. My ambition is to have it produced on a London stage.

I am also the former President and Director of a theater company, I was very fortunate to have been able to make it to Ireland in '97 with my late fiancée’ Nicolas, we had a terrific time , and everyone we met was wonderful, but we did not make it to the UK. I can't wait to come again and see the wonderful sights I have only read about, and seen in movies.

Some of my interests include: cultural anthropology, camel/llama faces, metaphysics, reading, classic British film-theatre- and literature, Science Fiction film, special effects makeup and set design, Renaissance Fairs and medieval costumes and re-creation events, Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, Michael Caine, plays and movies, walking in the rain, astrology, tarot cards, Egyptology, Oscar Wilde, Druidism, Arthurian legend, creating art-music-literature, Celtic music, smooth jazz, the Beatles, cats, dog noses, ducks, good conversation, good food, ancient history, herbology, Feng Shui, Star Trek, dragons, ethnic food, cooking, baking, back to nature pursuits, bees, alternative health therapies, traveling, boating, pirate lore, and I love the scent of honey and vanilla, I am interested in many things.

I am creative, articulate, well educated, and well read. I am a Massage Therapist and Esthetician ( skin care specialist ) by trade.

I wake up happy with a smile on my face everyday looking forward to the new adventures the day brings. When the day brings challenges I look for lessons I can learn, or for the positive side of the event and concentrate on that.

I have one grown son who is the one true miracle of my life, next to having been born myself. Quite a phenomenon that. I mean just think, right out the shoot each and every one of us who made it through the birth process has already run the hardest race we will ever encounter and we are the winners! It was a life and death struggle, literally! Nothing else in our lives will ever be as incredible, as that! And life has been an incredible experience! I am endlessly grateful.

I have traveled quite a bit, and study other cultures and belief systems, endlessly, I am a good decent individual with a warm and often wacky sense of humor looking for noble, honest, genuine friends with good hearts, kind natures, and something worthwhile and positive to say to a potential friend a world away. I would especially like to meet other artists, theater people, and writers as we already will have much in common.

I have heard that many people will not want to write to an American these days. Please remember that regardless of what country we live in most of us have no direct control over what our governments do. Judge me for who I am not my nationality, please. I do my best to try to make the world a better place to live in on a daily basis, individual by individual, by word, thought, and deed.

I enjoy knowing many people of many different nationalities, this time am looking specifically for Caucasian pen pals born and bred in the UK and Ireland for unique national perspectives for conversation and exchange of ideas, I would love the opportunity to know more about potential friends across the Pond.
