My client is based in South Wales and is not looking for a Toxicology Team Leader to undertake the day-to-day supervision of the Toxicology Department.

This role will involve both team leader duties and hands-on samples analysis:
Primary duties will include:
Team Leader:
- Maintaining effective staff cover
- Reporting results to customers
- Laboratory and equipment maintenance
- Leading team to ensure completion of workloads to deadlines
Analysis:
- Support with analysis of incoming samples
- Ensure all laboratory analysis is completed to quality guidelines
- Train staff on equipment and analytical procedures

Suitable individuals will have experience working within a toxicology laboratory and must have experience in the supervision or management of laboratory personnel. A BSc/MSc in analytical Chemistry with a focus on Toxicology is preferable, however, other relevant science qualifications will be considered. Experience with GC-MS & LC-MS is essential as is knowledge of QA & QC systems and working to SOP’s.

In return, my client offers a permanent opportunity with a annual salary of £19,000-£25,000 dependant upon experience.
