Trainee Assistant Accountant
Trainee Assistant Accountant - Cardiff
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior accounts individual to develop and progress within the accountancy field with full support and training from this fantastic employer. Ideally you will already be working within an accounts environment and looking to 'take that next step' in your career. You will be given full support in studying towards an accountancy qualification and your end goal will be to become a qualified accountant.
Responsibilities
To provide financial, management and project accounting support to the finance team.
Duties
- Produce reconciled payment transaction schedules
- Liaise with other departments to resolve payment transaction queries
- Produce client invoices and supporting documentation
- Produce contract amendment schedules
- Completion of accounting month end tasks according to the month end timetable
- Undertake ledger reconciliations and investigate and report issues
- Prepare and input journals
- Assist with preparation of area Profit & Loss packs and supporting information
- Assist/undertake financial investigations and audits
- Assist with supplier invoice & employee expense processing & queries
- Any other duties commensurate with this position
Mandatory Requirements
- Experience of working in a finance department
- Studying towards accounting qualification
