My client is looking for Supported Living Lead Support Workers (Learning Disabilities) in Merthyr Tydfil , Wales. This is a full time role and an excellent opportunity to join a fast growing national organisation.
In this role you will be leading and supporting the team in the running of the home , you will possess good skills in numeracy and literacy and will have proven experience working with people with learning disabilities or mental health needs.You will hold a Social Care NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification and you will be working towards a Social Care NVQ Level 3 qualification.
You will have a clear understanding of the needs and issues relating to people with learning disabilities , mental health problems , autism , physical disabilities or other complex needs.You will have the ability to co-ordinate and lead shifts , delegating duties to fellow colleagues.You will have knowledge of how to organise and administer medication , including safe storage and appropriate record keeping.
Please note to apply for this role you must be able to work shifts in a flexible manner revolving around the service user needs , which will include evening , weekend and sleep-in work.
