Finance Assistant - Cardiff
This national organisation who are relocating to the area are looking to recruit for Finance Assistants who will be responsible for the timely and accurate invoicing of services provided to Reliance customers together with the assistance in the processing of GL entries and control of account reconciliations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintenance of the billing system database to ensure that customer invoices are accurate and issued in a timely manner
- Processing of changes to ongoing, new or terminated business
- Generate invoices and issue to the customers by the agreed method (fax, post, electronic means) in a timely manner.
- Resolve invoicing queries in a timely manner
- Processing of general ledger journals as required
- Processing of inter-company and inter-area transitions
- Reconciliation of general ledger control accounts
- Maintenance of cash book, bank a/c reconciliations and other general cashiering duties
- Allocation of Accounts Receivable cash receipts
- Supporting the finance department in the month end process and other ad-hoc activities as required
Essential
- Excellent written and verbal English
- UK/ EU citizen or valid work permit
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Desirable
- Previous experience of operating a billing system within a sizable business unit
- Experience of working in an accounting department
- Potentially studying for an accounting qualification
- A working understanding of double entry book keeping
